This mountain town in the historic county seat of Gilmer County, “The Apple Capital of Georgia.” However, there is far more to Ellijay than apples. There are a wealth of wineries, vineyards, waterfalls, and open-air vistas that all combine to make Ellijay more than worthy for “Plein Air, Art in the Mountains,” a three day painting experience.
